In addition to cutting down on coffee, pizza etc., the most avoidable thing that can save nearly a fabulous amount of Rs.43,80,000/- in 40 years by giving up smoking/consuming tobacco products: Here is how: If you are a smoker of one pack of cigarettes per day that costs Rs.150 for 10 cigarettes - Rs.150 X 365 days X 40 years (average period of smoking) = Rs.21,90,000 - If a person who is a chain smoker may end up with 2 packs per day, then the fabulous amount of money he would have saved would be Rs.43,80,000/- in 40 years. Add to this, interest on investment, add money spent on medical expenses for treating diseases directly attributable to ill effects of consuming smoke and non-smoke (chewable) tobacco products. Add to this extra premium amount charged on your insurance policy and mental stress and agony of your kith and kin when you succumb to this avoidable habit. This HABIT can be kicked and money saved - from the word HABIT, remove H, ABIT remains, remove A, BIT remains, remove B, IT remains, next alphabet is I that means ''you''; if you remove yourself, then what remains is T = Tobacco that will have the last laugh over a dead smoker. Instead, remove T and save yourselves and live happily.
