    Madras High Court orders issuing notice to ED on Senthil Balaji's bail plea

    The Madras High Court has ordered the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to respond to a bail petition filed by DMK Minister V Senthil Balaji, who was arrested in June in connection with a money laundering case. Balaji's previous bail applications were rejected, but his latest petition argues that his health condition warrants his release. The ED has requested time to file a detailed counter. Balaji, who underwent a bypass surgery after his arrest, is currently in judicial custody, with the ED having filed a charge-sheet against him.
